Manchester City are believed to be keeping their fingers crossed that Juventus will launch a late cash offer for striker Carlos Tevez.
The North West side have been in face-to-face talks with representatives from AC Milan over an offer. However, it is understood that despite two hours of discussions, a deal is yet to be agreed.
While Tevez is likely to join the Serie A giants, City are standing firm on refusing a loan deal, which indicates that a permanent move to Juventus would be preferable, according to the Daily Mail.
Milan have reiterated that they would prefer to sign the Argentina international on a loan spell in order to provide cover for long-term absentee Antonio Cassano.
