Manchester City winger Leroy Sane reveals that he is looking to outscore his own goal tally from this season during the 2018-19 campaign.

Manchester City winger Leroy Sane has set himself the target of outscoring his own tally for this season during the 2018-19 campaign.

Sane is currently enjoying the best season of his career in front of goal, scoring 12 times across all competitions and setting up a further 15 to help City remain in the hunt for three trophies.

The 22-year-old stopped short of setting himself a specific number of goals to reach next term, but he is already looking at continuing his improvement in 2018-19.

"For me, I didn't have a goals target. Of course, I'm always looking to score a goal in the game to help my team but when I arrived here I didn't have targets," he told the club's official website.

"I wanted to be settled in Manchester, I wanted to improve and work on my weaknesses with Pep Guardiola.

"I am looking from step to step. I have scored more goals this season than last season and I think the next step would be really good for me if I can keep going and then score more next season. It would be really good for the team."

Sane has directly contributed to 27 goals in his 40 outings this term.
