Micah Richards relieved with away win

Manchester City defender Micah Richards admits that he is relieved that his side have picked up their first away win of the season against West Ham United.

Manchester City defender Micah Richards has admitted that he was relieved his side could pick up their first away win of the season against West Ham United.

City have struggled on the road this season and picked up their first three points away from the Etihad Stadium with a 3-1 win over the Hammers.

Richards claimed that his side were nervy, but praised goalscorers Sergio Aguero and David Silva for pushing them through to secure the victory.

"It's about time we did it," Richards told Sky Sports. "It was a bit nervy when it went to a 2-1, but we got there in the end.

"Silva and Aguero were outstanding. It was pretty tough at times, it was tough to pick a man out at times, we had the majority of the ball."

City currently sit in fourth place in the table, three points behind leaders Arsenal.
