Manchester City officials will reportedly tell Pep Guardiola to name his price in regards to the manager's job, after losing patience with Roberto Mancini.
According to the Daily Star, City have decided to replace the Italian after a second successive Champions League group stage exit.
Sporting Director Txiki Begiristain, who worked with Guardiola at Barcelona, will hold discussions with the 41-year-old next week.
Guardiola is in high demand, with Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain also interested in his services once he finishes a year's sabbatical in the summer.
City hope that the connection with Begiristain will help to secure the deal, although Guardiola's agent said recently that he would not think about a new job until January at the earliest.
