Nolito: 'Best is yet to come from Manchester City'

Manchester City forward Nolito insists that the best is yet to come from his side ahead of their Premier League clash with title rivals Arsenal at the Etihad.

Manchester City forward Nolito has insisted that the "best is yet to come" from his side under Pep Guardiola.

City made a perfect start to life under Guardiola with 10 wins from their opening 10 games, but they have since picked up just five wins from 16 games in all competitions to fall off the pace in the Premier League title race.

A 2-0 victory over Watford on Wednesday saw Guardiola's side return to winning ways, though, and Nolito believes that could be important heading into a "difficult" clash with title rivals Arsenal on Sunday.

"You always need to win after several games where you didn't get the three points at home. It was difficult, but it was important to get the three points and now we think of Arsenal," he is quoted as saying by the Evening Standard.

"It will be a hard game but I guess Arsenal will come and try to get the three points, as that is their philosophy of football. It is also ours, so we will have to see who gets the points. It's difficult because they are rivals in the title race.

"Obviously we are all behind [Guardiola] and follow what he says. The best is yet to come. The last few results have also been because we played against other teams who were also very good. It's always tough, and always depends as much on the other team you play."

Victory over Arsenal on Sunday would lift City up to second place in the Premier League table - at least until Liverpool take on Everton in Monday's Merseyside derby.
