Mark Hughes reveals that he intends to remain the manager of Queens Park Rangers, even if they are relegated to the Championship.

Mark Hughes has revealed that he will remain the manager of Queens Park Rangers next season, regardless of what division the club are playing in.

The R's head to Manchester City on Sunday afternoon knowing that maximum points will secure their status as a top-flight club for another season.

However, should Hughes's side slip up against the title chasers, it will allow Bolton Wanderers the opportunity of staying up at QPR's expense.

When asked by reporters this afternoon whether he would be willing to continue at Loftus Road in the Championship, Hughes replied: "Absolutely. I don't have any intention of jumping away from the situation.

"We all feel that we are on the cusp of excitement and that is the reason that I signed up. That is what we feel is going to happen here.

"If we have to take a backwards step then so be it. It won't stop what is going to happen here in the future."

QPR's relegation rivals Bolton face a trip to Stoke City.
