Wilfried Bony vows to show his worth at Manchester City

Manchester City striker Wilfried Bony insists that he is not troubled by the pressure of his big-money move from Swansea City and will work hard to show his worth.

Manchester City striker Wilfried Bony has insisted that he will prove his worth following his £28m move from Swansea City.

The Ivorian striker has failed to live up to expectations in his early appearances for the Sky Blues, but the frontman has insisted that he can cope with the pressure of playing for one of the Premier League's top sides.

"When I first came to England there was big pressure because I was coming from Holland to the Premier League," Bony told the club's official website.

"At Swansea, I didn't score in the first few games so there was more pressure again, but it's just something you have to live with by improving and doing things better.

"This is a great move for me but I need to work hard, take my chances when they come along and it will get easier as I get to know my teammates better and get a better understanding."

City currently hold second place in the league standings.
