Sergio Aguero has said that he would have no issues if he were left on the bench since Manchester City have so much strength in depth.
The 23-year-old has scored eight goals in seven league appearances for the club. However, he insists that it is Roberto Mancini's decision if he is to play or not and says that the manager must be respected.
"That is an issue for the manager, and it is a complicated one with so many players to choose from," Aguero said of team selection in FourFourTwo magazine.
"But if it is my turn to be a substitute, in whatever game, then that is for the manager to decide.
"There are lots of players who can step into each of our places - if we do not have [David] Silva, then we have [Samir] Nasri - the team will be strong, whoever plays."
Aguero arrived at the Etihad Stadium from Atletico Madrid for a fee of around £38m this summer.
