Manchester City forward Sergio Aguero has hailed midfielder Kevin De Bruyne as a "great player" following the club's 5-1 win over Leicester City on Saturday.

Argentine forward Aguero scored four of City's goals, while De Bruyne chipped in with three assists as Pep Guardiola's team moved 16 points clear at the top of the Premier League table.

Aguero has counted himself "very lucky" to be playing alongside De Bruyne, adding that the Belgian would be welcome in any team.

"Luckily Kevin De Bruyne is playing for us and helping us to score," the 29-year-old told Sky Sports News. "I am very lucky because most of the goals come from his assists - I just have to hit the ball. I am happy for him as well.

"He is a great player and any team in the world would love to have him. The goals are very important because they help the team to win.

"But I think we are very close to achieving important things. That is why I am very happy, personally and for the team."

De Bruyne's three assists took him to 14 for the season, four clear of injured teammate Leroy Sane.
