Samir Nasri keen to end Wembley hoodoo

Samir Nasri hopes to make it third-time lucky as he returns to Wembley for Manchester City's League Cup final with Sunderland next weekend.

Samir Nasri is hoping to make it third-time lucky as he returns to Wembley for Manchester City's League Cup final with Sunderland next weekend.

The France international was part of the Arsenal team that went down 2-1 to Birmingham City in the Carling Cup final in 2011, before suffering a similar fate in the capital with the FA Cup final defeat to Wigan Athletic last season.

"I don't have any good memories with my clubs, because I lost a final there with Arsenal and with Manchester City," he told Sky Sports News.

"But I won there with my national team against England and I am hoping it's going to be the same kind of game."

Next Sunday's League Cup showpiece kicks off at 3pm.
