Manchester City team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Schalke 04

Sports Mole looks at the latest injury and suspension news for Manchester City ahead of Wednesday's Champions League encounter with Schalke 04.

Manchester City make the trip to Germany to face Schalke 04 on Wednesday night looking to move a step closer to the Champions League quarter-finals.

Pep Guardiola's men have a hectic schedule over the coming weeks, but high priority will be placed on trying to achieve a lead from the first leg of the last-16 tie at the Veltins-Arena.

City warmed up for this contest with a 4-1 victory away at Newport County in the FA Cup fifth round, a game which saw Guardiola rest a number of his star men ahead of the game with Schalke 04 and the EFL Cup final against Chelsea.

The Premier League champions reached this stage of the Champions League by topping a group which included Lyon, Shakhtar Donetsk and Hoffenheim.

Here, Sports Mole looks at City's latest injury and suspension news ahead of their showdown with the Bundesliga outfit.
