Wolverhampton Wanderers reportedly face a battle with Sporting Lisbon to land young winger Rafael Camacho from Liverpool.

Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly going head to head with Sporting Lisbon in an attempt to lure Liverpool youngster Rafael Camacho away from Anfield this summer.

The 19-year-old has made just two senior appearances for Jurgen Klopp's side - first in the FA Cup defeat to Wolves in January, then a fleeting appearance against Crystal Palace in the league shortly afterwards.

Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo is said to have been left impressed with the versatile teenager, who can play anywhere across the frontline, as well as at right-back and wing-back.

According to A Bola, Sporting - the club where Camacho came through the youth ranks - have expressed interest in bringing him back to Portugal and are prepared to go head to head with Wolves in the transfer market.

The Reds are believed to be holding firm on a pricey valuation of £10m for the youngster, who is about to enter the final 12 months of his current deal.

Separate reports have suggested that a frustrated Camacho is refusing to sign a new deal amid the interest in his services, which could force Liverpool to sell for less than their asking price this summer.
