Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is reportedly ready to offload Martin Skrtel and replace him with Ashley Richards.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers reportedly wants to sign Ashley Richards as a replacement for Martin Skrtel.

Skrtel was recently dropped by the Liverpool boss before publicly questioning the decision.

According to The People, Skrtel will return to former club Zenit St Petersburg in the summer, and Swansea City captain Richards will replace him.

Rodgers knows the Wales international well from his time at Swansea and has told the Liverpool board to make a move.

It is also thought that Manchester United and Arsenal are keeping tabs on Richards.
