Liverpool are reportedly willing to risk losing out on Xherdan Shaqiri by delaying their pursuit of the Bayern Munich winger until the end of the season.
Brendan Rodgers is a fan of the Switzerland international, but the Reds are reluctant to spend this January after splashing out over £100m in the summer.
The Daily Mail claims that Shaqiri will have crunch talks with the Bavarians over his future on Wednesday, having started only three Bundesliga matches this season despite a good showing at the 2014 World Cup.
Inter Milan are also interested in the 23-year-old, but would prefer a loan deal similar to the one they have recently secured for Arsenal star Lukas Podolski, and so Bayern are waiting to hear from Liverpool.
It is believed that Shaqiri moving to Inter for the remainder of the current campaign ahead of a possible summer switch to Anfield would suit both the Premier League and Serie A clubs, but needs Bayern's approval.
However, Juventus and Wolfsburg are also admirers and could ruffle Liverpool's feathers by bidding for the former Basel star, who has made just 26 league starts since moving to the Allianz Arena in 2012.
