Liverpool are reportedly close to agreeing a new contract with teenage sensation Jordon Ibe.
Since being recalled from a loan spell at Derby County, the 19-year-old has impressed for the Reds and has regularly featured in the first team at Anfield.
According to The Mirror, Ibe's father David has let it be known that he would be willing to discuss a new deal with the Merseyside club after Liverpool signalled their intention to reward the winger with improved terms.
Liverpool are said to be confident that Ibe, who is still eligible to play for either England or Nigeria, will put pen to paper on a contract extension.
It is thought that the Nigerian FA will approach the England Under-19 international to represent them, although Three Lions Under-21 boss Gareth Southgate is keen on adding the attacker to his squad for the European Championships in the summer.
