Liverpool may consider a swap deal with Lille regarding Joe Cole and Eden Hazard, according to reports.

Liverpool may use Joe Cole in a transfer switch with Lille midfielder Eden Hazard in an attempt to lure the sought-after Belgian to Anfield.

The 20-year-old has reportedly sparked interest from Premier League clubs including Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal after confirming his desire to leave the French club at the end of the season.

While Lille have priced the midfielder at £43m, the Reds could try to lower the figure by allowing Cole, currently on loan at Lille, to make a permanent switch, according to The Mirror.

The Merseyside club are believed to have been monitoring the Belgium international for the past three years.

Europe's elite are also thought to be keeping an eye on Hazard, including Real Madrid as well as Inter and AC Milan.
