French champions Lille have hinted that they will consider turning Joe Cole's loan move to the Stadium Nord Lille Metropole into a permanent one at the end of the season.
The 30-year-old has made a good impression since his switch from Liverpool and club president Michel Seydoux has confirmed that a fixed transfer is not out of the question.
"It is not a certainty that he will leave us again at the end his contract," said Seydoux. "If he has a certain good feeling with Lille and we can make him an interesting offer, then this is something that we will look into."
Cole has found the net on two occasions during his spell in France.
