Liverpool are reportedly ready to finalise new deals for Alisson Becker and Virgil Van Dijk

Liverpool are reportedly set to finalise new contracts for Alisson Becker and Virgil van Dijk.

The defensive duo have played key roles in Liverpool's stellar 2019-20 campaign, although their march towards a first-ever Premier League title has been halted by the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

According to 90Min, neither player has expressed any desire to leave Anfield, and as a result there has been no rush to tie either man down to a new deal.

The report also claims that talks have been ongoing with the goalkeeper and centre-back since last year, and the Reds are said to be nearing agreements to keep the duo on the books at Anfield.

Alisson and Van Dijk have made a combined 192 appearances for Jurgen Klopp's side.
