Liverpool eye Hoffenheim star Roberto Firmino as Lallana alternative

Liverpool are set to make a bid for Hoffenheim star Roberto Firmino as the proposed move for Adam Lallana looks to be in doubt.

Liverpool have reportedly lined up a move for Hoffenheim's Roberto Firmino as an alternative to Adam Lallana this summer.

Brendan Rodgers's primary transfer deal has slowed down as the Reds boss looks towards Bayern Munich winger Xherdan Shaqiri and Schalke starlet Max Meyer.

However, it is thought that Hoffenheim star Firmino would be the ideal candidate for Rodgers as the Brazilian is versatile in attack.

Liverpool CEO Ian Ayre will fly out to the Bundesliga club next week in an attempt to seal the deal, according to reports.
