Liverpool have reportedly put talks to sign Cristian Tello from Barcelona on hold until after the Olympics.
The 20-year-old has been made part of Spain's men's football team for the Games in London, which get underway in 12 days.
As a result, the striker is believed to have put discussions over his future on the back burner until the conclusion of the tournament.
Barca have offered their youngster a new contract, which he has so far been reluctant to sign.
That has alerted Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers, who would face competition from Atletico Madrid and Real Betis for the Spanish youth international, according to The People.
Tello is believed to be available for around £6m.
