Liverpool are reportedly on the brink of confirming the £45m signing of Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Diogo Jota.
On a day when the Premier League champions formally announced the arrival of Thiago Alcantara, it was claimed on Friday afternoon that the Merseyside giants were also attempting to sign Jota.
However, in the space of half a day, developments have occurred at a rapid pace, seemingly resulting in a deal being agreed.
According to The Athletic, all of the relevant parties have given the green light for the transfer to be finalised over the weekend.
Wolves are allegedly in line to receive an initial £41m for the Portugal international, who has penned a five-year contract at Liverpool.
The report also confirms that defender Ki-Jana Hoever will move in the opposition direction in a separate deal.
