Liverpool agree £12.5m deal for Nathaniel Clyne?

Liverpool have a £12.5m bid for Nathaniel Clyne accepted by Southampton, according to a report.

Liverpool have reportedly agreed a deal with Southampton for defender Nathaniel Clyne.

The England right-back was subject to a £10m bid from the Merseysiders earlier this summer, which was rejected.

Reports on Wednesday suggested that the Reds would submit an improved offer for the 24-year-old.

According to the Liverpool Echo, Southampton have accepted a £12.5m fee from Liverpool for Clyne ahead of a five-year contract at Anfield.

Clyne joined Southampton from Crystal Palace in 2012.
