Nathaniel Clyne 'to have Liverpool medical on Monday'

Southampton defender Nathaniel Clyne will reportedly have a medical on Monday as he nears a move to Liverpool.

Nathaniel Clyne will reportedly undergo a medical on Monday before agreeing a five-year deal with Liverpool.

The England international is widely expected to join the Reds after Southampton accepted a bid last week, believed to be around £12.5m.

According to the Liverpool Echo, Clyne will have a medical on Merseyside before putting pen to paper on a long-term contract at Anfield.

Clyne will be Liverpool's sixth signing of the summer so far, after James Milner, Danny Ings, Adam Bogdan, Joe Gomez and Brazilian forward Roberto Firmino.

Liverpool finished sixth in the Premier League last season.
