Liverpool target Ben Chilwell 'to sign new contract at Leicester City'

Teenage defender Ben Chilwell reportedly resists Liverpool's interest to sign a new deal at Leicester City.

Leicester City defender Ben Chilwell has reportedly decided to sign a new contract at the King Power Stadium, despite interest from Liverpool.

The 19-year-old left-back has been linked with the Reds for some time, but the Foxes made it clear that the teenager is part of their plans after rejecting a bid earlier in the window.

According to ESPN, Chilwell has resisted Liverpool's approach and intends to sign a new deal with the Premier League champions.

The defender, who is in the final year of his current contract, made two appearances for the senior team last season, but both were in the FA Cup.
