Liverpool team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Leicester City

Sports Mole rounds up all of Liverpool's latest injury and suspension news ahead of their Premier League clash with Leicester City on Saturday.

Liverpool will be desperate to avoid falling further off the pace in the Premier League title race when they travel to third-placed Leicester City on Saturday afternoon.

The Reds paid for two costly errors by goalkeeper Alisson against Manchester City, who eased to a 4-1 victory on Liverpool's turf on Sunday afternoon.

That result marked the first time since 1963 that the champions have lost three top-flight home games in a row, and they head to the King Power Stadium three points behind Leicester and 10 points off top spot.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Liverpool's injury and suspension news ahead of the contest.

Possible return date: Unknown

Klopp confirmed at his pre-match press conference that the injury-plagued Fabinho will not be available for this game due to a "little muscle issue", and the Liverpool boss does not know when the makeshift centre-back could return.

Possible return date: February 28 (vs. Sheffield United)

Diogo Jota suffered a serious knee injury against FC Midtjylland in the Champions League and is still a "couple of weeks" away from returning, according to Jurgen Klopp, so he is facing a race to be fit before the end of the month.

Virgil van Dijk's recovery videos sparked optimism that the Dutchman could play again this season after his ACL injury, but Klopp does not think that he has a chance of returning to the pitch before the campaign is over.
