Brendan Rodgers "relaxed" about league position

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers insists that he is "relaxed" about his side's position in the Premier League table.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has insisted that he won't make a judgement on his side's early-season form until they have played 10 games in the Premier League.

The Merseyside giants are currently sitting in ninth place in the standings after an inconsistent start, but Rodgers believes that his team have performed well and could have easily been occupying a higher position.

The 41-year-old told reporters: "I am quite relaxed. We will look where we are after 10 games. If Phil Jagieka does not score a worldie in the last minute when we play Everton, then we are two points better off and in the top four.

"We lost a world class player in the summer and brought in some others and that takes a little time to bed down. But the players here are absolutely magnificent in their desire to be better. I would prefer for progress to be steady because we would get there."

Liverpool travel to Loftus Road to play Queens Park Rangers on Sunday afternoon.
