Brendan Rodgers praises his Liverpool players despite their failure to defeat West Ham United at Anfield.

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has described his side's performance during their 0-0 draw with West Ham United earlier today as "outstanding".

The Reds created numerous chances at Anfield, but they were unable to find a way beyond Jussi Jaaskelainen in the West Ham net.

"We were outstanding in terms of our game. The effort the players put in was very good. We just needed a bit of luck to go our way," the boss told BBC Sport.

The result has left Liverpool seventh in the Premier League table.
