Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has heaped praise on Philippe Coutinho following the club's pre-season victory over Thailand.

The Brazilian midfielder opened the scoring on Sunday as the Reds ran out 3-0 winners in Bangkok.

"Coutinho had me up off my seat," Rodgers told the Liverpool Echo. "He's a player you would pay money to watch. He's just a delight on the ball."

Liverpool will continue their pre-season schedule against Olympiacos at Anfield on Saturday.
