Borussia Dortmund winger Christian Pulisic has revealed that he will always be "thankful" to Jurgen Klopp for the small part that he played in the early part of his career.
Pulisic arrived at Dortmund in 2015 when Klopp was still charge of the Bundesliga giants, but the American failed to break into the first team before Klopp left the club.
However, Pulisic has praised Klopp after being granted his first senior training session by the German, who is allegedly keen on signing the wideman for the Premier League giants.
The 20-year-old told Goal.com: "He was there when I first moved to the club. I personally didn't get to know him too well but I've heard stories from some of my teammates who did and they loved playing for him.
"I was obviously playing with the youth teams at Dortmund, but he was the one who gave me my first professional training session, just to give me a taste of it.
"He always accepted me and he was very kind to me, so I will always be thankful for that. I know he's a great guy, and it's nice to see him doing so well for Liverpool."
Pulisic could be allowed to leave Dortmund in the summer if he does not extend his contract past 2020.
