Liverpool star Raheem Sterling admitted that he thought the side's luck was out before late goals saw them through against Bolton Wanderers in the FA Cup on Wednesday.
The Reds hit the woodwork three times and saw a dubious penalty go against them before eventually winning 2-1.
Eidur Gudjohnsen netted from the penalty spot before Sterling levelled late on and it was Philippe Coutinho who struck a stoppage-time winner for Brendan Rodgers's side.
Sterling told BBC Sport: "We had a few chances and we didn't take it. We did well to stay in the game and win it in the end but when it went to 1-0 and we hit the bar you start thinking: 'Is it going to be our night?'
"Philippe has that magic to turn the game on its head and that's what we've seen tonight. I'm happy to get on the scoresheet, I saw [the ball] coming and I thought I could put it through the goalkeeper's legs."
Liverpool travel to Crystal Palace in the fifth round.
