Bernardo Silva reveals that he is unfazed by the pressure Manchester City face ahead of their challenging fixture schedule across all competitions.

Manchester City playmaker Bernardo Silva has revealed that he is unfazed by the pressure he and his teammates face ahead of their challenging fixture schedule across all competitions.

The Citizens are currently preparing for their Champions League quarter-final tie against Atletico Madrid, which will take place either side of their Premier League showdown with title rivals Liverpool, a side they also play in the FA Cup semi-finals on April 16.

Speaking to the press ahead of Tuesday's first leg against Atletico, Bernardo admitted that he feels the pressure from the City supporters to win, but claims he and his teammates can manage it "really well".

When asked by reporters if both teams will feel anxious to win the Champions League, Bernardo said: "I don't think it is anxiety but pressure. Pressure to win is nice because it means you're in a great club fighting for everything.

"It is pressure that we want because we want to win those competitions. Atletico are a great side also, I'm sure they have that same thing. There is lots of pressure from the fans to continue to win.

"They are the champions of Spain and they also have to do well in the Champions League. There is lots of pressure on both sides but we are players used to this pressure and we will manage it really well."

Bernardo added: "We know Atletico. They are very used to playing this kind of important game, when the pressure is very high, they are an aggressive team, they will not give us much space. Tough game tomorrow."

Man City, who cruised to a 5-0 aggregate victory against Sporting Lisbon in the round of 16 in February, were eliminated at the quarter-final stage in each of the previous three seasons before reaching the final last season.
