Ladislas Douniama grabs late winner for Guingamp as they overcome Lens 1-0

Lens fall to a late 1-0 defeat at the hands of Guingamp, as Ladislas Douniama tucks home in the 90th minute to earn a last-gasp victory for the visitors.

Ladislas Douniama's last-minute goal has earned Guingamp a 1-0 victory over Lens in Ligue 1 this evening.

Jerome Le Moigne sought to give Lens the lead in the first half when he hit a powerful effort from distance, which narrowly missed the left post as it flew wide.

After a frustrating first period, the hosts almost found a way past Guingamp, but Adamo Coulibaly saw his shot saved by goalkeeper Mamadou Samassa.

The game's best chances didn't show themselves until the closing stages, as Baptiste Guillaume saw his header saved in the top centre of goal by the Guingamp keeper.

Samassa's save was to prove vital as the visitors put together a tidy late move, leaving Douniama to convert a neat finish from the centre of the box into the bottom corner in the 90th minute.
