Roy Hodgson 'interested in Leicester City job'

Former England boss Roy Hodgson is allegedly interested in taking over at Leicester City.

Former England manager Roy Hodgson is allegedly keen on the vacant Leicester City job.

According to Sky Sports News, the veteran coach is hoping to succeed Claudio Ranieri at the King Power Stadium.

Hodgson, who has previously managed in the Premier League with Blackburn Rovers, Fulham, Liverpool and West Bromwich Albion, has not coached since Iceland knocked his England side out of Euro 2016.

Other rumoured candidates for the Leicester job include former Foxes boss Nigel Pearson, Guus Hiddink and Roberto Mancini, although the latter has ruled himself out of the running.

Leicester defeated Liverpool 3-1 in their first Premier League match since Ranieri's departure on Monday evening.
