Leicester City are reportedly among a number of clubs that are keeping tabs on Coventry City striker Viktor Gyokeres.

Leicester City are reportedly one of a number of clubs that are interested in signing Coventry City striker Viktor Gyokeres.

The Sweden international has been in fine form this season, scoring 18 goals and providing eight assists in 38 league appearances.

Gyokeres is the Championship's second-highest scorer, and he has registered 38% of Coventry's 48 goals this season.

Coventry are currently three points adrift of the playoffs, and they may have to secure promotion to the Premier League if they want to keep their star striker.

Brentford, Crystal Palace, Everton, Leeds United and Wolverhampton Wanderers all reportedly made enquiries about Gyokeres in January, but ultimately, the striker remained with the Sky Blues.

The Sweden international, who has entered the final 18 months of his contract, continues to be linked with a move away.

According to 90min, Leicester are one of a number of clubs that are keeping tabs on Gyokeres, as they consider whether to make a summer move.

The Foxes will face competition for his signature, with Brentford, Everton, Crystal Palace and Leeds all still interested in signing the Coventry man.

The Sky Blues are still keen to agree an extension with Gyokeres, and they are reportedly in discussions over a new and improved deal.

The Championship club want to retain the 24-year-old's services, but they are also hoping that a new contract will give them a strong negotiating position should interested clubs come calling.

Coventry paid Brighton & Hove Albion around £1.2m to sign Gyokeres in 2019, but they would reportedly be looking to receive a fee in excess of £20m to consider a sale this summer.

Gyokeres, who has scored two goals in 12 appearances for Sweden, featured as a late substitute in Friday's 3-0 defeat.

The striker could play a role in his country's second Euro 2024 qualifier, which takes place against Azerbaijan on Monday.
