Sports Mole previews the Championship clash between Charlton Athletic and Leeds United.

Charlton Athletic host Leeds United on Saturday with both sides looking to move a step closer to confirming their Championship status for next season.

Both teams are currently in mid-table, but with just a six-point gap separating 12th and 23rd place, their encounter at The Valley could prove decisive later in the season.

The form of the Addicks has been mixed in recent weeks, but manager Chris Powell would have been content with their goalless draw at Brighton & Hove Albion in midweek.

Neil Warnock departed as Leeds boss in midweek after six games without a win, and it remains to be seen whether they will improve under caretaker boss Neil Redfearn.

Redfearn could opt to recall Ross McCormack after the Scottish international came off the bench against Derby County on Easter Monday.

Recent form

Charlton Athletic: LDWLWD

Leeds United: DDDLLL

Charlton Athletic: Hamer; Morrison, Wiggins, Solly, Dervite; Hughes, Jackson, Pritchard, Wilson; Harriotts, Kermorgant

Sports Mole says: 2-1
