Juventus won for the first time in Serie A this season after beating 10-man Genoa 2-0 at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris this afternoon.
Alvaro Morata tried his luck in the opening minute for the visitors with a powerful volley from the edge of the box that was held by Eugenio Lamanna.

Genoa soon began to see more of the ball and they threatened for the first time when Diego Capel arrived to meet a cross from Diego Perotti, but he could not keep his header down.
Juventus were then dealt a blow as Morata picked up an injury and had be replaced by Roberto Pereyra.
Moments later Paul Pogba curled a free kick over the bar and Patrice Evra headed another set piece off target, as the Old Lady started to provide more of an attacking threat.
The visitors made their pressure pay by taking the lead in the 36th minute as Pogba latched onto Pereyra's cross at the back post, and saw his effort hit the bar, before the ball rebounded off Lamanna and ended up in the back of the net.
Genoa were dealt another blow shortly before the break as Armando Izzo hauled down Juan Cuadrado and was sent off after picking up his second yellow card of the match.
It was Cuadrado who threatened for Juventus at the start of the second half, with a powerful low drive from outside the box that sailed inches wide of the far post.
The Bianconeri were then given the chance to double their lead after Giorgio Chiellini was brought down inside the box by Diogo Figueiras and the referee pointed to the spot.
Pogba stepped up to take the resulting penalty and made no mistake with a composed finish after Lamanna had dived the wrong way.
Juventus continued to dominate and Mario Mandzukic came close to scoring his first league goal for the club when he raced into the box and saw his shot from a tight angle kept out by Lamanna.
Simone Zaza came off the bench and soon found the back of the net with a powerful drive from just outside the box, but the goal was ruled out for offside as Juventus held on to take the points.
