Paolo De Ceglie disappointed with Chievo draw

Juventus' goal-scoring left-back is disappointed that his first Serie A goal was only worth a point.

Defender Paolo De Ceglie has admitted that Juventus's failure to beat Chievo took the gloss off his first goal in Serie A.

The 25-year-old opened the scoring after 18 minutes in Turin, before his team stuttered and were eventually held to a 1-1 draw.

De Ceglie was delighted at his goal, a close-range tap in, but he admitted that failing to close the gap to within one point of league-leaders AC Milan was frustrating.

"Scoring is always delightful, in particular if that goal allows you to go in front," he said.

"Unfortunately, it wasn't enough to get the three points.

"Perhaps we are a bit below par and difficulties are arising. We'll need to analyse the game in order to understand where our mistakes lie."

Although not yet a full international, De Ceglie represented Italy at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.
