Freddie Sears aiming to bounce back at Wolverhampton Wanderers

Ipswich Town striker Freddie Sears vows to 'right the wrongs' of the weekend defeat to Brentford with a midweek victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Ipswich Town striker Freddie Sears has vowed to 'right the wrongs' when his side travel to Wolverhampton Wanderers on Tuesday evening.

The Tractor Boys suffered a second-half collapse at Griffin Park on Saturday to fall to a 2-0 defeat at Brentford, just days after they were eliminated from the EFL Cup in the first round at the hands of League Two side Stevenage.

Mick McCarthy's side now travel to Molineux to face a Wolves side that are unbeaten under new manager Walter Zenga, but Sears thinks that the sides' recent head-to-head form will swing the encounter in Town's favour.

"Obviously the weekend defeat to Brentford was disappointing but the lovely thing about football is that you don't have to wait too long to try and put that right," Sears told the Ipswich website.

"We've got Wolves tomorrow night and we will be looking to get back to winning ways. We've got a good record at Molineux and we want to extend that run by getting a result there.

"Training has been good this week and we've worked on a few things, a lot of tactical sessions and the boys are looking sharp. We watched back the weekend defeat and pinpointed where we went wrong and it's up to us to put that right now, hopefully starting at Wolves tomorrow evening."

Ipswich are currently 13th place in the primitive Championship table after two games played.
