Manager Mick McCarthy hails "quality" Ipswich Town

Ipswich Town "were quality" during their 2-1 win over Fulham, according to manager Mick McCarthy.

Mick McCarthy has praised the performance that his Ipswich Town players produced during their 2-1 win away at Fulham last night.

The visiting Tractor Boys took the lead through Freddie Sears after just 16 seconds at Craven Cottage and while Ross McCormack equalised for the hosts, Brett Pitman was on target in the second half to secure all three points.

Speaking to the club's official website after the final whistle, McCarthy said: "I thought we were quality tonight and we definitely deserved the three points."

Next up for McCarthy's men is a home encounter against Derby County on Saturday afternoon.
