Paul Jewell parts company with Ipswich Town, according to reports.

Paul Jewell has parted company with Ipswich Town following tonight's 2-1 defeat at the hands of Derby County, according to reports.

The Tractor Boys took the lead through DJ Campbell's strike but conceded towards the end of the first half before a Nathan Tyson goal in second-half stoppage time sent Ipswich bottom of the table.

Jewell had been considering his future following a woeful run of form that has seen them go 11 games without a win in all competitions, while they have won just one league game all season.

However, the 48-year-old vowed to fight on, insisting that he had "100% backing" from the chairman, although reports suggest that this is no longer the case.

Jewell had been in charge of Ipswich for almost almost two years having taken the reins at Portman Road in January 2011.
