Match-winner Keith Andrews believes that Ipswich Town "are moving in the right direction" following yesterday's victory over Portsmouth.

Midfielder Keith Andrews believes that Ipswich Town "are moving in the right direction" after last night's 1-0 victory over Portsmouth at Portman Road.

Republic of Ireland international Andrews was Town's match-winner against Pompey, scoring from close range in the 69th minute.

"It's nice to get the win, obviously, and it was great to grind out a result," the 31-year-old told the club's official website.

"We are moving in the right direction and it is always pleasing to come into the dressing room after a win and see yourself in the top six, and we're also only a point off second place now.

"We are fully confident that we can keep up this run we are on and continue to kick on up the table."

Yesterday's win has moved Paul Jewell's team up to sixth in the Championship table.
