Hannover 96 chairman Martin Kind has admitted that it is not a surprise to see Mame Biram Diouf's proposed move to Stoke City take so long.
After rejecting an offer of a new contract from Hannover, Diouf has been locked in talks with Stoke over a free transfer, but reports have suggested that his agent's demands are preventing the deal from being completed.
"I am really not surprised to hear the Bosman transfer of Mame Biram Diouf is not yet completed," Kind told Kicker.
"Even in those talks with us, there were issues coming up now and then. And those issues were right in the borderline and almost exceeding tolerable limits."
Diouf scored eight times in the Bundesliga last season.
