Rene Meulensteen wants "responsible" Fulham

New Fulham boss Rene Meulensteen tells his players to take more responsibility ahead of Wednesday's encounter with Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League.

New Fulham manager Rene Meulensteen has told his players to take more responsibility on the pitch ahead of Wednesday's encounter with Tottenham Hotspur.

The Dutchman will take charge of the Premier League strugglers for the first time following Martin Jol's departure from the club at the weekend.

Fulham go into the match at Craven Cottage three points adrift of safety in the table.

"We need to make sure the players take responsibility, with work-rate and their discipline," Meulensteen told BBC Sport.

Fulham have lost their last five matches in the Premier League.
