Fulham midfielder Alex Kacaniklic has insisted that he wants to push for a spot in the club's first team next season.
The 21-year-old, who spent last season on loan at Watford, also believes that his spell in the Championship has aided his development.
"Last year was a really good six months for me, first the loan deal to Watford and then coming back to Fulham and getting some games here," he told the Fulham Chronicle.
"The loan spell gave me the opportunity to play first-team football. Reserve-team football is one thing, but first-team football is where it counts. I really enjoyed myself and am pushing for a place in the team for this year."
Fulham open their Premier League campaign against Norwich City on Saturday.
