John Heitinga has insisted that he does not regret joining Fulham despite the club's precarious position in the Premier League.
The Dutch defender made the switch from Everton in the January transfer window after reportedly rejecting the opportunity to sign for West Ham United, who are currently 10th in the table.
"I had a few other options but Fulham was a good decision and still is a good decision," Heitinga told The Chronicle.
"Felix [Magath] has done really well in the past with his former teams. He is a tough manager, he makes you work really hard and that is what we need at the moment.
"I knew before I signed here that this was going to be a tough period. We know that we are in a situation where we need to win and stick together."
Heitinga was signed by Rene Meulensteen, who lost his job at Craven Cottage and was replaced by Magath just weeks after the defender's arrival.
