Cedrick Makiadi agrees a deal to join Werder Bremen from Freiburg.

Werder Bremen have signed Freiburg midfielder Cedric Makiadi on a free transfer and he will join at the end of the season.

Bremen sporting director Thomas Eichin admitted that the player had long been tracked by the club and he was delighted to get his man.

"Cedrick has long been on our radar," he told Bundesliga.com. "He is a versatile player who has developed extremely well in Freiburg and possesses the type of maturity that we need. We are delighted he has chosen to come to Bremen."

Makiadi scored 13 times in 138 appearances for Freiburg.
