Forfar have stayed at the top of Scottish League One thanks to a late equaliser to earn a 2-2 draw away to Ayr.
Lewis Allan put Athletic ahead before goals from Craig Moore and Alan Forrest gave Ayr United the lead. However, a goal from Michael Travis in stoppage time saved Forfar, who remain in first place on ten points.
Dunfermline closed the gap on Forfar to just a point after beating Stranraer 3-1 at East End Park. Fayssal El-Bakhtaoui, Jason Talbot and Andrew Geggan were all on the scoresheet before Jamie Longworth managed to salvage some pride for the Blues.
Brechin City remain bottom without a point after losing 3-1 away at Albion Rovers. Ross Dunlop put Albion ahead before Craig Johnston replied from the spot for lowly Brechin.
However, goals either side of half-time from John Gemmell and Andrew Barrowman killed the game off despite a late red card for Albion midfielder Kyle Turnbull.
A six-goal thriller entertained fans at Ochilview Park as Stenhousemuir won 4-2 against Cowdenbeath. Goals from Colin McMenamin, Liam Henderson, Allan Smith and Alan Cook won the game against the 10-men of Cowdenbeath, who saw John Armstrong sent off.
In the last game, Airdrieonians managed a 1-0 win against Peterhead, thanks to a strike from Jamie Bain on 70 minutes.
