Meanwhile, the visitors make the journey to Sittard-Geleen aiming to end a dismal run of form which has seen them fail to win any of their last four games.

Having suffered a first league defeat of the season in their most recent outing, Feyenoord visit the Goffertstadion on Sunday to face off against NEC.

On the other hand, the home side will be looking to end a run of five games without a win since their only victory of the 2022-23 campaign back in August.

This weekend's Eredivisie action concludes at De Oude Meerdijk in Emmen, as the second-tier champions host Heerenveen on Sunday night.

After four successive defeats, Emmen found themselves bottom of the Eredivisie table going into the international break.

Emmen will hope the international break has given them a chance to reset and knuckle down on the training ground, but they are facing a Heerenveen side who have been tough to beat, and have kept clean sheets in four of their seven matches so far.

With some first-choice players back in contention to feature, Heerenveen will feel in a strong position to continue their good start to the season against a side lacking in confidence after some heavy defeats.
