Everton have held further talks with Napoli over a deal for central midfielder Allan, according to a report.
Former Napoli chief Carlo Ancelotti is said to have targeted Allan, who he worked with in Naples, as the ideal player to strengthen the Toffees' midfield.
The 29-year-old is part of the Partenopei's pre-season training squad, but the Daily Mail claims that Everton are still working to get a transfer over the line.
However, while the Merseyside outfit are willing to offer £25m for the Brazil international, Napoli are believed to be holding out for closer to £30m.
Allan has made 212 appearances for the Italian outfit in five seasons with the club since joining from Udinese in 2015.
Everton are also thought to be interested in Watford ace Abdoulaye Doucoure.
