Niklas Moisander: 'No Everton contact'

Ajax player Niklas Moisander admits that he did not have any contact with Everton in the transfer window.

Ajax centre-back Niklas Moisander has revealed that there were no discussions between him and Everton during the January transfer window.

Roberto Martinez was rumoured to be looking to add to his defence on deadline day last Friday, but Moisander said that he did not hear anything from the Toffees and is now looking forward to winning the Eredivisie with Ajax.

"I have not heard from Everton, so I think it was just a rumour," the Finnish international told NUsport.

"I want to be champion with Ajax. That's the only thing I want. After that, in the summer we will see."

Moisander returned to Ajax from AZ in the summer of 2012.
